Located in the heart of Tryonโs historic Hunting Country, Fence Foothills Equestrian Nature Center offers a timeless setting your guests will always remember.
The FENCE Center
The FENCE Center welcomes guests with charm and character. Stone steps lead to an inviting lobby and great room featuring wooden plank floors, exposed beam ceilings, and a beautiful stone fireplace. A full kitchen is conveniently located just steps away, providing flexibility for catering and event preparation.

Parties for Kids
Kids love parties โ and they love Fence Foothills Equestrian Nature Center. Combine the two for a fun, nature-themed birthday or special celebration and create an experience they will never forget.
We provide the Nature Classroom, access to nearly 400 acres of open space, a knowledgeable guide, and all materials needed for crafts and games. You provide the decorations, drinks, paper goods, cake, and snacks.

Creepy Crawly Party
Children learn about fascinating insects and explore the outdoors on a guided nature walk, with opportunities to safely observe and even catch a few bugs.
Itโs a Hoot Party
Discover the world of owls โ their habitats, adaptations, and behaviors. Children will even dissect owl pellets to learn what owls eat.
Kites in the Sky Party
Each child decorates their own kite and heads to breezy Hawk Ridge to watch their creations soar.
Catch a Dream Party
During a guided nature walk, children collect natural materials to craft a dreamcatcher to take home.

These rates apply to Fence Foothills Equestrian Nature Centerโs basic facilities. We are happy to discuss your specific event needs and the use of other areas of the property.
A refundable security deposit is required upon signing the rental contract. The deposit is 20% of the total rental fee and will be returned provided the facility is cleaned and restored to its original condition.
